The Slum Period Project

The #SlumPeriod Project is a transformative initiative aimed at addressing period poverty and stigma. This initiative aims to empower women and girls through provision of sustainable solutions to help them get through their periods free from stigma and with dignity, using safe, hygienic alternatives that do not jeopardize their health and wellbeing.

Through community driven outreaches, we are eliminating vicious cycles of sexual violence through transactional sex for pads, keeping girls in school and eliminating the subsequent risks associated with girls dropping out of school. Our mission is not only to meet the immediate needs but also to foster a stigma-free society where menstruation is openly discussed.
