Period Talk Uganda
To attain our goal of fighting period poverty through dismantling menstrual stigma and creating positive, educative, supportive safe spaces, Period Talk Uganda has undertaken several initiatives countrywide, catering to communities both online and on the ground. These initiatives aim to create a significant impact by promoting menstrual equity and creating a period-friendly world.

Improving Access Advocacy
Improving access to menstrual products, advocating for menstrual normalization, educating on menstrual health management and reproductive health.
Our community gatherings create judgment-free zones where girls discuss menstruation openly, build confidence, and form supportive networks. Led by trained local facilitators, these spaces transform isolation into empowerment through shared experiences and practical guidance.
Safe Support Spaces
Reusable Pads Solutions
We deliver culturally-sensitive workshops covering menstruation basics, hygiene practices, and reproductive health. By training local teachers and community leaders, we ensure sustainable knowledge transfer while dismantling harmful myths that limit girls' potential.
Menstrual Health Education
Our washable pad kits last up to two years, providing an eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to disposable products. Made by local seamstresses, each kit includes multiple pads and proper care instructions, ensuring girls manage their periods with dignity and confidence.

I am so proud of being a part of this initiative. Something that puts a smile on someone's face, a smile they shouldn't have been deprived of in the first place. I believe access to pads should be for every girl child. I am so happy to be part of something that is beyond self. I appreciate the efforts of everyone in this initiative. Keep it up. Every effort counts.
