Period Talk Uganda partnered with Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) to support girls at St. Maria’s Primary School, Katete, through an outreach dedicated to promoting menstrual health, dignity and educational opportunity.
The initiative created a safe and inclusive space where girls received menstrual health and hygiene education, equipping them with accurate information about menstruation, challenging harmful myths and encouraging open conversations that help reduce stigma.
As part of the outreach, 300 girls received menstrual health education and reusable menstrual pads, ensuring they had access to sustainable menstrual products that support consistent school attendance and enable them to manage their periods with confidence and dignity.
By combining education with practical support, the partnership reinforced a shared commitment to ensuring that menstruation is never a barrier to learning. Through collaborations with academic institutions, Period Talk Uganda continues to expand access to menstrual health education and sustainable menstrual solutions, empowering girls to stay in school and realise their full potential.
