Empowering Women, Ending Period Poverty Together

A period should only end a sentence.
Having your period shouldn’t hold you back. Period.

Essential education on menstrual health and wellbeing.

Sustainable, locally-made reusable pads for all.

A collection of patterned reusable cloth pads are arranged on a large stone surrounded by green foliage. The pads feature different designs: one is blue with intricate floral patterns, another is yellow with black floral motifs, one is red with a solid color, and another is dark gray with small red details and white dots.

Here's the problem we're tackling

Menstruation stigma in Uganda forces girls to miss school, use unsafe materials, and suffer in silence. Up to 65% of girls in impoverished areas miss classes during their periods, leading to higher dropout rates. Without access to proper products and education, period poverty perpetuates inequality and health risks.

Menstrual Health Education

We deliver culturally-sensitive workshops covering menstruation basics, hygiene practices, and reproductive health. By training local teachers and community leaders, we ensure sustainable knowledge transfer while dismantling harmful myths that limit girls' potential.

Reusable Pads Solutions

Our washable pad kits last up to two years, providing an eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to disposable products. Made by local seamstresses, each kit includes multiple pads and proper care instructions, ensuring girls manage their periods with dignity and confidence.

Safe Support Spaces

Our community gatherings create judgment-free zones where girls discuss menstruation openly, build confidence, and form supportive networks. Led by trained local facilitators, these spaces transform isolation into empowerment through shared experiences and practical guidance.
